Beauty Product Reviews-Beauty Blender, Must Have??

So while I was cruising the vast array of youtube "professional style" makeup routine tutorials I came across one that I particularly loved :)  She was a punk rock queen type girl who was rocking a pretty extreme look. The before and after was nothing less than SHOCKING! I was most impressed by her flawless skin...her trick? A beauty blender! Immediately I was determined to find one (reasonably priced if at all possible :p) So after some intense internet research I found out that Shoppers Drug Marts Quo brand offers a beauty blender (at a good price point! yay!!) So I of course immediately ran out to pick one up and give it a try.

My verdict? I'm in LOVE!!!

So for those who aren't familiar with the beauty blender, this is what it looks like:

Quo Blender Sponge

This little purple sponge has made such a difference in the application of my liquid foundation, I can't even express how happy I am with it!

Simple to use:

When you've reached the liquid foundation/concealer stage, simply apply as you normally would. Then the magic happens, take this lovely little sponge and dampen it. Make sure it's not dripping wet but damp and simply dab this sponge all over your face. I use a fair bit of pressure, not beating the hell out of my face, but using a fair amount of pressure! Just keep that up for a few minutes and watch as your foundation and concealer begin to blend beautifully :D

What you end up with is a more natural coverage even when using a heavy foundation. This little sponge is SO worth the money, there are multiple brands on the market for different price points, so I'm confident that everyone will be able to find one they can afford. Do I feel that the more expensive sponges would be of higher quality? Potentially! But I do know that not everyone wants to spend over $20.00 for one cosmetic applicator (myself included!) My advice, definitely give one of these little miracles a try, whether it's the high end or low end, you're going to be pleased with the outcome!

Tip: To clean this little guy up just put some dish detergent in a bowl with warm water and gently wash (Careful not to be too rough, don't want to damage it) Squeeze out the excess water, pat dry with paper towel and you're good to go!
